Details

Five months after setting up a tannin aquarium ,the first round of leaves has decayed, leaving a nice layer of crud or detritus on the bottom. Normally, I would be cleaning this out with a siphon — but the goal of the tannin tank to to reproduce the river bottom. So the detritus stays. Even if i mix in in with the sand. Is it ugly or beautiful? Hmmm.
